Peggy McGregory paid $6,000 for a hot tub that never came. Sally and Milton Hughes spent $7,000 and received nothing either. In all, 20 people said they got soaked by Jim Gerard. So, 7 On Your Side paid him a little visit.
"They say you took their money and they don't have their hot tub," said ABC7's Michael Finney.
"OK, well I did not take their money and not deliver their hot tub. It's in the works right now," said Gerard.
7 On Your Side couldn't make him own up, but the law did. Wednesday a judge sentenced Gerard to nine months in jail and ordered him to pay back $135,000 to his customers.
