Joan Patrick, 96, of Morgan Hill was in a private ambulance at the intersection of Buena Vista Avenue and Noname Uno when the crash happened shortly after 2 p.m.
Patrick was taken to Regional Medical Center in San Jose, where she died from injuries she suffered in the crash, according to the medical examiner's office.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
