The Secretary of the Health and Human Services Department says she is very encouraged by clinical testing that indicates just one shot will be enough to protect most adults from the H1N1 virus. And it kicks in quickly, in just eight to 10 days.
"We were really thinking our best case scenario was Thanksgiving, given the two-shot scenario and three weeks between shots. So the news on the clinical trials is very good," says Kathleen Secretary Sebelius.
The White House provided the satellite interview opportunity for Secretary Sebelius on Friday.
The swine flu vaccine will be available in mid October.
