The 28-year-old Heatley is a scoring machine, netting over 50 goals twice in his seven year career and 40 goals four times.
He had an off year last year with only 39, but also has playoff experience with three trips to the post season.
Heatley will be paired with Joe Thornton and Devin Setaguchi on the first line, which will give teams fits as the 6'4" 220 pounder also adds some muscle to the men in teal.
