Naturalization ceremony held on ship

There were 13 members of the military who became U.S. citizens on the U.S.S. Green Bay.

Six are members of the ship's crew.

This is the first time a naturalization ceremony has taken place during Fleet Week.

In 2002, President George Bush signed an executive order that made people serving in the military immediately eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship because this country is at war.
