They filed for a court injunction Wednesday to try to stop the state, who they say is forcing them to buy new diesel filters by Friday at a cost of up to $21,000 a piece.
Some truckers say the cost will put them out of business.
Air quality regulators offered an additional $3 million in grants Wednesday but there is only enough money to help out fewer than 600 truckers, just a fraction of the number who still need to buy the new filters.
