Most of us have already tightened our spending, but Good Housekeeping says there may still be ways to save. You can get money saving coupons at the checkout stand every time you scan your CVS Extra Care Card at purchase.
"The CVS Extra Care Rewards Card will give you discounts that are at least as good as discounters like Walmart and Target," said Leesa Suzman of Good Housekeeping.
"I saved about $3 to $4 today and I also got five extra bucks that I can use towards any purchase in the future," said shopper Lindsey Coyle.
Even brick and mortar stores are offering web only offers. Retailers like Walgreens let you pick up your online purchases at a local store and private sale sites can offer big savings.
"You sign up on the website and then you have a few days to take advantage of the different offers that they send you. These are limited time offers, and on sites like HauteLook.com, these are often on very high end products that you get at great prices," said Suzman.
