The Chevy Malibu and ford fusion were rated as the top commuter cars -- along with the Honda Accord, Civic, and Insight.
The Hyundai Elantra, Mazda three, Subaru Outback and Volkswagen Jetta also made the list. Vehicles were ranked on things like fuel efficiency, safety, practicality and affordability.
