Mendocino County authorities say Raymong Chin Pang Shue died Friday morning after waves swept him out to sea.
The 33-year-old Shue was diving with a group of friends near Point Arena when he disappeared in the surf. His friends returned to shore and called for help.
Emergency crews spotted Shue's body face down in the water around 9:20 a.m.
His body was recovered by a Sonoma County sheriff's helicopter crew.
