Stir-fried fava shoots with garlic
Serves 2-4 as part of a multi-course meal
Ingredients:
- ¾ lb. fava shoots, washed
- 2 tablespoon canola oil
- 2 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 2 tablespoon rice wine
- 1 1/2 tablespoon fish sauce
- Heat wok or large skillet on high heat.
- Add oil to coat the pan and heat until it begins to smoke.
- Add garlic cook for 3 seconds
- Add fava shoots.
- Add the rice wine. Stir.
- Add the fish sauce. Continue to stir and cook until the greens wilt.
- Serve immediately and with steamed rice, if desired.
