At 12:24 a.m. police received reports of gunshots fired in the area of Mission Street and San Jose Avenue.
Officers responding on the 6200 block of Mission Street found a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said two persons were reported running from the scene on Mission Street toward Crocker Avenue.
