Detectives came up with this sketch of the man after a burglary and two other attempted break-ins.
A resident who confronted the boy inside of their home on July 19 provided a description of the man who was with the child.
They say the man is in his 20s and was seen waiting outside the house for the child.
This comes as Palo Alto police arrested a 15-year-old boy suspected of stealing from open garages in the southern part of the city.
