Chris' dad Doug is a farrier -- he makes horse shoes and has been doing so for 37 years.
Doug has shoed 57,000 horses during that time. That's 228,000 hooves cleaned, nails trimmed, shoes measured, then pounded, then fit, then nailed, then smoothed. And 57,000 happy customers.
Apparently the contest judges agreed with Chris; his video showing what his dad does for a living is now in the finals for the $100,000 prize.
