The woman was struck by a car turning from northbound Mathilda Avenue onto westbound El Camino Real at about 6:30 a.m., Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Capt. Dave Verbrugge said.
It appears she was crossing against the light and was not in a crosswalk when she was hit, Verbrugge said.
She was taken to a hospital with a leg injury and some bumps and bruises, Verbrugge said.
The accident shut down westbound El Camino Real for just over two hours this morning.
