"I know parents are having a little hard time getting new costumes. So I thought it was a great way to get parents together so that they can exchange for another gently-used or even a new costume that we're providing," said Karen Kang, vice president of Accessorygeeks.com.
If your kid's /*costume*/ from last year is in good shape, bring it to 260 Paseo Tesoro in Walnut and you can swap it out with someone else's costume.
This is the first time the company is hosting the event so they are not sure how many people will show up. Organizers used social media networks to spread the word.
"There's going to be a lot of people coming in, says our /*Facebook*/ and social media sites like that. We've announced it through /*YouTube*/ and everyone in the /*Southern California*/ area should be coming," said Josh Valles of Acessorygeeks.com.
Organizers said aside from the costume exchange, there will also be jumpers and fun activities for kids. They said the real goal is to get out some /*Halloween*/ safety tips and make sure that every kid has a fun costume this year.
The Kogi food-truck will be serving food at noon.
