Airlines are now required to submit your name in advance to the Transportation Security Administration for pre-screening.
Because of this, the name on your airline ticket must match the name on your driver's license exactly.
Your date of birth and gender are also being sent to TSA in advance.
Airlines began implementing the new requirement in August 2009, but the deadline for full implementation was November 2010.
