Peter McFarland, 66, of Woodacre sued Marin County and the sheriff's department two years ago for using excessive force.
Paramedics came to McFarland's home after he fell and called them. He had been drinking and threatened to shoot himself. That's when deputies came into the picture and arrested him for resisting arrest after tasing him several times.
