The department is conducting a controlled vegetation management and training burn at the Alameda County Sheriff's Regional Training Center, located at 1289 Madigan Road.
The burn will be between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will take place between the county jail and Barner Avenue.
The burn will increase the defensible space for residents in the area of the Sheriff's Regional Training Center.
