The minds behind the annual desert gathering are teaming up with the City of San Francisco for the "Burning Man Project."
The group launched a non profit organization on Friday to build an urban cultural center in San Francisco's Central Market district.
City officials say the project is a good fit with the city's goal to improve that neighborhood.
The project includes classrooms, galleries and space for gatherings and ceremonies.
