Pair of small quakes shake Berkeley

BERKELEY, Calif.

The first earthquake hit at 12:06 a.m. Saturday morning and was a measure 2.8. It was centered in the Claremont area of Berkeley, just south of the UC Berkeley campus. Some people in various parts of the East Bay and San Francisco reported feeling it.

The second earthquake hit at 12:45 a.m. and was a measure 2.5. It was also centered in the same area near the Hayward Fault.

These quakes follow two earthquakes that hit on the UC Berkeley campus on Thursday afternoon. The first one hit at 2:41 p.m. and was a 4.0 and the second was a 3.8 that hit later Thursday evening at 8:16 p.m.

No damage or injuries have been reported after all of these earthquakes.
