According to the San Jose Mercury News, the Mothers' Milk Bank of California says it's now only able to provide milk to neo-natal intensive care units.
The milk bank relies on donations from mothers who pump extra breast milk. It says the internet has caused a downturn in donations, with some mothers arranging their own exchanges or even selling their milk on eBay.
The market for breast milk has boomed after several recent studies again confirmed its superiority over baby formula.
