The Occupy Salt Lake group has been in Pioneer Park for weeks, protesting what they say is corporate greed, in solidarity with the larger Occupy Wall Street protests in New York and elsewhere.
Police say the body of a man in his 40s was found Friday morning. A cause of death wasn't available, but authorities say it did not immediately appear to be foul play.
Police Chief Chris Burbank says the group will have to pack up its tents by Saturday evening or risk arrest. Daytime protests still will be allowed.
Organizers say they don't plan to leave and are willing to go to jail.
