It's tough to compete with the holiday week last year when Tahoe was buried in snow. Still, people are flooding into South Lake Tahoe, although unlike last year, hotels are not all booked.
There is still skiing and snowboarding around Tahoe. Heavenly has been making snow almost nonstop since October, but only 25 of its 97 runs are open.
