The shooting was reported at 5:55 a.m. in the 2800 block of 35th Avenue, Oakland police Officer Kevin McDonald said.
A female victim was pronounced dead at the scene and a male victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, McDonald said.
Police are investigating the killing this morning.
