The billboard is a direct jab at remarks made by Mirkarimi about his ongoing domestic violence case against his wife. On the day he was sworn in as sheriff, Mirkarimi said the issue was a "private, family matter." Mirkarimi, who denies all charges, is set to stand trial at the end of next week.
