The city of Hayward has partnered with Habitat to rehabilitate foreclosed properties in Hayward.
The city has $2.8 million to buy, renovate and sell up to 20 foreclosed or blighted homes to low income families.
The project is being funded by the federal government's Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
