Residents in the area of 300-400 block of 7th Street and 600-700 block of Franklin are being told to shelter-in-place or evacuate until further notice.
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office bomb squad is responding to determine the nature of the device. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic has been impacted in the area.
