Marcos Montano-Topete, 32, is facing felony charges in the incident.
He was arrested in March after walking up to his 16-year-old neighbor, telling her he was sick of her dog, and then hitting the poodle with a brick.
Montano-Topete told deputies the poodle was always in his yard, and was afraid it would confront his own dog. The suspect is free on $10,000 bail.
