The line was hit about 9:30 a.m. on Scottsdale Road. Fire officials say it was a 2-inch natural gas line and that it was marked. An automated alert went to about 800 homes and 30 in the immediate area were evacuated after PG&E found higher than acceptable gas presence readings in storm drains.
The line was sealed just after noon Monday and the evacuation lifted.
