Homeless man arrested for attacking park ranger

SAN FRANCISCO

About 10 a.m. Sunday, a ranger approached the homeless man near Stern Park. The man got angry and hit the ranger with a tree branch. A policeman responded, and he was also hit. The homeless man was eventually subdued.

Both the ranger and the officer suffered injuries in the attack.
