Crews shoring up levee in East Palo Alto

EAST PALO ALTO, Calif.

Members of the California Conservation Corps filled about 4,000 sandbags at the East Palo Alto City Corporation Yard on Tara Street yesterday. They are using the bags to line a levee near the San Francisquito Creek today.

The creek over-flowed last month, causing $2.7 million in damage to public property. The levee also separates the creek from dozens of homes in East Palo Alto.
