Officials say it happened when a third party construction crew hit a gas line at about 9:40 a.m. Wednesday.
PG&E crews arrived on scene about 20 minutes later and were able to cap the leak at about 11:55 a.m.
There were no evacuations or shelter-in-place orders during the leak.
