The third-graders, who are all eight-years-old, decided to dye their hair pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Rhowan Smith, whose mom owns the hair salon, came up with the idea, and talked his friends into doing it with him. They jumped at the chance.
"Because of all the people that have breast cancer, and all the people that are trying to get rid of it, all the people that died," third-grader Aidan Rodakowski said. "We're all just doing it to support them to make it through and stuff like that."
And the event is personal for some of the boys' families.
"His grandmother has battled cancer twice, his great grandmother has battled cancer once, so it just means a lot to us to show our support any way that we can," Euphoria Salon owner Candace Smith said.
While some of the parents say they were surprised at the idea of pink hair, all of them said they were proud of the boys' courage.
"Pinktober" specials will continue throughout the rest of the month at the salon.
