Fifteen current and retired firefighters claimed they were denied promotions because of their age. They accused the department of changing test scores and destroying documents.
A jury agreed with them Monday. The plaintiffs will split a 3-point-7 million dollar settlement.
The city argued in court the scores were not altered, but "corrected."
