The city began taking reservations Wednesday for the Sierra Family Camp, located at Echo Lake near South Lake Tahoe.
The camp has a newly renovated heated pool. It also has hot showers and bathrooms, but it can only accommodate 1,000 guests, a quarter of the campers the old one did. So it's expected to fill up fast.
