Astronaut Tim Peake demonstrates how to shower in space

Astronaut Tim Peake showed the world how to keep clean in outer space in a cool instructional video.

Uploaded to YouTube on Jan. 26, Peake shows the process of how astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) keep clean with a wet cloth. The astronauts can't use a conventional shower because of the lack of gravity.

This isn't the first time that Peake gave a glimpse into life aboard the ISS. The astronaut demonstrated how to cook scrambled eggs and how to use the restroom in space in other fun videos.

Peake is currently aboard the space station for the European Space Agency's Principia mission. The British astronaut left the earth on December 15 last year and will perform more than 30 scientific experiments and other research activities during his six-month tenure in space, according to the ESA. The mission is named after Isaac Newton's Naturalis Principia Mathematica, an influential text on physics.

"Tim is determined to make Principia an exciting adventure for the younger generation," the ESA wrote on its website. "As an ambassador for science- and space-based careers, he has an intensive programme to inspire children during his stay in space."
