"Upside down" van draws attention on the roads

MARION, IA (KGO) -- An auto repair shop owner is turning things upside down in Marion, Iowa.

Jim Anderson modified a pickup truck to look like an upside down van.

"We actually took everything out of the inside of the van, lifted the body up off of the frame and then we cut the top off as high as we could to fit. Then, we basically set the body down around a ford ranger pickup truck, a piece at a time, and then just reassembled it around the truck. So, there's an entire ford ranger pickup truck complete underneath there," said Anderson.

It's the second one he has built.

Anderson admits sometimes the vehicle gets too much attention. He says he drove the first one to a convention in California, and it brought traffic to a standstill on the freeway.
