NAPA, Calif. (KGO) -- What started out as a wonderful day for two new parents quickly turned scary after the Napa earthquake hit this morning.

Connie and Angel Sanchez welcomed their newborn son at Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa about 45 minutes before the shaking started.

His name is Ismael and he weighs 7 pounds, 10 ounces and measured 21 inches long.

The happy couple is grateful that no one was hurt and is thanking the hospital for checking in on them right after the quake hit.
