'The Bachelor' Ben and his fiancee Lauren talk about their engagement on 'Facebook Live'

NEW YORK -- "The Bachelor" Ben Higgins and his new fiancee Lauren joined us after "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" to chat live on Facebook!

They talked all about their big engagement, and if they even considered for a second maybe going through with that wedding on "After the Final Rose".

"We want to do this in a more normal way," Ben said. Lauren is excited to begin planning and says that she doesn't yet know what style wedding she will have, but she's excited to dive into it.

If you were wondering about Lauren's amazing Neil Lane engagement ring, it's an art deco ring set with a radiant cut diamond surrounded by 240 round and baguette cut diamonds for a total weight of 4.25 carats. It's the largest ring in the entire "Bachelor" franchise's history.

Ben and Lauren seem elated to finally have their relationship out in the open and get back to life in the real world. Ben has even started working again as Lauren prepares to make the big move to Denver in the coming weeks.

Their families are starting to get to know each other and Lauren says that Ben has even been let in on her family's "group text"!

"That was a big step," Lauren said. Both say Facetime really helped keep their relationship strong as they waited for the season to finish airing so they could at last be seen together in public.

Until then, they plan to take in New York City for a few days, stay at a nice hotel, see "Hamilton" on Broadway if possible, and spend quality time as a newly engaged couple.
