BERKELEY, Calf. (KGO) -- Condolences are pouring in for the six people who died Tuesday after a balcony collapsed at a newly-renovated apartment complex in Berkeley. The collapse was reported just before 1 a.m. Tuesday at Kittredge Street and Harold Way near the UC Berkeley campus.

At a news Tuesday conference, the Consul General of Ireland to the Western United States Philip Grant said, "Our hearts are breaking. But it is so good to know that so many people stand with us. This is deeply deeply tragic and it touches every single family in Ireland."
