Boston airport mulls charging drivers for pick ups, drop offs
Boston's Logan International Airport may soon charge drivers who pick up or drop off passengers at the terminals.

BOSTON (KGO) -- Boston's Logan International Airport may soon charge drivers who pick up or drop off passengers at the terminals.

The Boston Globe reports that the Massachusetts Port Authority will study the plan, with the goal of cutting down on congestion and pollution.

The study is part of an agreement with an environmental group called the conservation law foundation.

In exchange, the foundation won't oppose the agency's $250 million plan to add 5,000 parking spaces at Logan.
