SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco Giants players celebrated raucously in the locker room with champagne after the team beat the Kansas City Royals to win their third World Series Championship in five years. But they also celebrated tenderly with their families.
ABC7 News photojournalist Abe Mendoza caught a special moment of shortstop Brandon Crawford with his little daughter on the pitcher's mound.

Earlier, Crawford compared this year's team with the 2012 champions.
"This series was so intense, not to take anything away from 2012 because that was such a fun ride, fun championship," he said. "But this series was so back and forth and the intensity level was so high, I felt like in this Game 7, you didn't really feel that a couple of years ago."
In 2012, the Giants swept the Detroit Tigers. This one was a nailbiter until the final inning of Game 7.
The Giants will be celebrated in San Francisco on Friday. ABC7 News will carry the parade and rally on-air and online beginning at 11 a.m.
