FRESNO, Calif. -- A man was booked into jail for allegedly slashing the tires of multiple cars in Madera on Sunday.
Police say William Smith used a knife to slash the tires on four cars near Madera High School North Campus. They say he also threatened someone who confronted him and then ran away from officers.
Williams was later found in a backyard and arrested. He faces charges of vandalism and interfering with an officer. However, he did not look too worried in his mugshot.
Investigators say it appears Williams did not know the owners of the vehicles and slashed the tires at random.
