SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco rededicated its iconic Carnaval Mural in the city's Mission District on Sunday.
Considered one of the most important public art projects in the neighborhood, it's been three decades since the mural was originally painted.
With funds from the City Community Challenge Grant, artists took on the task of restoring the mural, which has just been completed.
The celebration included SF Poet Laureate Alejandro Murgua, Jose B. Cuellar, Los Peludos, Danza Azteca, Energia De Samba, and Sounds of Brazil.
