Chad calls JoJo 'naggy,' still gets a rose on 'The Bachelorette'

NEW YORK -- It's week two and time to dive into the drama on "The Bachelorette"! Before we could really dive in, we started off with JoJo relishing in the fact that she is "The Bachelorette" and she's got a lot of guys still pining away for her at Bachelor Mansion. Chris Harrison visited the guys and dropped off the first date card. It read, "Luke, Grant, Will, Evan, Daniel, Vinny, Ali, James F., Wills, and Robby: Let's heat things up."

When the guys stepped outside, they saw a limo on fire! A firetruck pulled up with real firefighters and of course JoJo on it and she put out the fire. She asked the guys if they were ready for a "hot date" and they went off together. No surprise, Chad started to trash talk the other guys first and compared them to the junk cars out on the lot that he wanted people to see before he would sell them a good car as an auto dealer. Makes you glad you never bought a car from that guy am I right?

Back at the house, Chad did pull ups with a weight belt and his suitcase attached to it! It was kind of crazy! Hopefully there wasn't too much inside of it. They guys thought he looked ridiculous.

The guys on the group date got to go through the paces at a fire academy! It's a bit not fair that Grant is on the date, he's a real firefighter! They dressed up in their gear, and took off running. They were working so hard to impress JoJo! Wells worried that he wasn't buff enough to really do a great job at it, but he still tried his best. The chief told him to go get some water before he passed out! He kept on struggling so they had to get a medic over to look at him. The guys felt bad for him until JoJo went over and spent time with him. Then they thought, wow, it's a great plan to get extra time ha! He handled an embarrassing situation very well.

At the house, the guys were clearly very bored. They were playing a guitar and making up a song about missing JoJo. Chad made fun of them and he thought they were crazy for doing that for a girl they've known for one day. OK - I'll admit that there is some truth to that, but really, I appreciate the hilarious effort these other guys are putting into "the process".

On the group date the guys had to race to the top of a burning tower to "save" JoJo. It was neck and neck, but Grant beat the guys in his group and Luke also had an amazing showing. Wells, well, you can guess how he did.

Grant got some extra one-on-one time with JoJo at the after party because he won the challenge. He and JoJo talked about how he got into firefighting and JoJo said that she was "blown away" by him. They even did some kissing and she seemed very into him! She said that she finds his selfless attitude very attractive.

Another date card arrived at the house. It read, "Derek, Love is full of choices." That means Derek got the one-on-one date. It's serious business though because if he doesn't get a rose, he goes home!

Wills got some time at the after party with JoJo and she did not seem bothered that he did awful at the firefighting challenge. He's a pretty funny guy and she seems to really love his personality. Luke was freaking out about not getting time with her as all of the other guys seemed to get turns. Finally, he got his chance and it was a pretty serious talk. They ended up out on a balcony where he gave her a hug and she actually pulled him in for a kiss! I think he needs to be more secure because she clearly likes him! She had a group date rose to give out and she decided to give it to Wells! Wow! Despite kissing two other guys, she gave it to the funny guy! Luke went back into his bummer mode.

The next day, Derek got ready for his group date as JoJo said "hi" to the guys. They were jealous as he went off on his date. They got into a beautiful blue convertible and headed to an airport as they chose "sky" over "sea". They have to make "choices" along their date to determine where they will end up. There were two planes and decided to head "north" instead of "south". They picked "dress down" instead of "dress up". I think I love this date! One of the more creative ones they've done on this show in a while! They flew to San Francisco. They chose the "Golden Gate Bridge" over "Lombard Street". Derek really wanted to see the bridge so they went there and ate lunch along the water. They kissed! He seems really sweet! John Krasinski look-a-like is a front runner in my book!

At the house, Daniel and Chad trash talked the other guys as they practiced their JoJo song. Chad said that you have to beware of the nice guys, because in the end he's actually a nice guy and they are not. Hmm. A bromance is born.

The last date card arrived, it read, "Jordan, Christian, Nick, James T., Alex, Chad, prove your love to me and the nation." Brandon, Chase, and the other James (Superfan) were left out. Chad criticized the three guys for being bummed and said "You've gone your whole life not seeing JoJo, what's a few more days." He's just such a jerk!

Back on the date, Derek and JoJo were having a fabulous time! She told him that she wanted to ask him some questions about his past relationship. He told her it ended a few years ago, and he said he's closed himself off during that time and he's having a hard time letting people in. She talked about how heartbroken she was about Ben and how she couldn't understand where things went wrong. But, now she feels like she's on her way to her love story. Derek said her story showed him who she is and he's happy he can be open with her because "she understands." He said he was ready to get married in his last relationship but she cheated on him. So he hasn't been able to be open to that again because of how hard it was to deal with that situation. He told her that he's so excited he made the decision to be there because he's getting the chance to get to know her. After their deep talk, she told him it was the easiest decision she's had to make that day and offered him the rose! If she doesn't pick him, he might make a great "Bachelor"!

The group date guys headed to the set of "SportsNation" and JoJo was doing a broadcast with the two hosts Max and Marcellus. They guys said that they would power rank all of the guys for JoJo. They basically had to do a victory dance like you would on a football field. They also had to spin around with a bat and then bring a comically large ring over to JoJo to propose to her. Chad refused to play along and he told her she was coming off "a little naggy". That was awful! The last competition was an interview where they had to answer questions on the spot in front of everyone. All of the guys said they didn't like Chad and he did not take it well. During his time at the mic, he just sounded like a jerk. Even the hosts gave each other a look and didn't know what to make of him. Chad is delusional and actually thought that he was going to win. Their rankings were #3 Alex, #2 Chad (WHAT?!), #1 James T. The hosts loved him!

At the after party, Chad called the rest of the guys a bunch of liars. He said that he was the only one who was honest. He's just awful! I just can't with this guy anymore! Chad said he's never met a group of guys who is so sensitive.

JoJo pulled James aside first, and she said the power rankings really made her pay more attention to him. He read her a speech about himself so that he wouldn't forget what to tell her. She was very touched by it. He went in for the kiss and it was very sweet. She even went back for some more!

During her time with Chad, she told him that she was taken aback by the things that he said. She thought it was very honest, but felt that he was overcompensating for something. He revealed that he has a Yorkie puppy that his mom left him when she died. She felt terrible that she just passed six months ago. He said that he has that amazing puppy that reminds him of his mom and that he's ready for a relationship. Maybe there's a decent guy in there somewhere, but he needs to get a grip on his anger to get more of that to come out. They threw coins down a wishing well and he went in for the kiss. It looked like he was going to eat her face off. Ick. He said that she's giving him the giddy feelings. She gave the date rose to James though, and Chad's mind exploded. He didn't even stand up to kiss her or hug her goodbye!

It was time for the cocktail party the next day, but Chad was nowhere to be found. Chad was off searching for JoJo. He brought her a glass of wine and asked her to go for a walk. It didn't seem like an amazing time for her, and actually it was a little awkward. Chad and JoJo walked into the room of guys together and they were all shocked. After JoJo talked to the group, they all broke off and talked to each other and were freaking out about their "20 minutes" that the two of them were missing. Alex confronted Chad about his time alone, and he said JoJo approached him while he was out getting "air". They even accused him of matching his tie to her dress, which by the way did seem to be a coincidence. Chad was like, it's none of Alex's business what was said or what happened.

Chase set up some fake snowfall and put mittens on JoJo and they had a really cute private conversation together. It was adorable! He told her that he loves snowboarding and that he would love to teach her. She seemed pretty receptive to him.

Chad made a huge plate of food and brought it out to eat. I'm pretty sure it was just a giant pile of meat. Vinny joked that Chad is there for the free food. Luke joked that he would take an "IV of meat" if he could get one. It was hilarious!

Alex was having some one-on-one time with JoJo and Chad went over and interrupted them. Alex was furious! JoJo said that she needed a minute with Alex, but then relented and let Chad hang out with her again. They had a good conversation and afterwards he walked past Alex and winked at him. The guys tried to confront him, but Chad just smiled and laughed at them, got up, and walked away. He went over to Daniel and laughed at the guys.

Evan was talking to JoJo and Chad cut in again! How is she not getting annoyed by this? I would be like; um can you let me finish a conversation with anyone?! Poor Evan wished he had pushed back, but he didn't. Alex had enough of it and went over to confront Chad about acting like a jerk. Chad actually got in his face and started swearing and him and even touched him. Alex told Chad he was the "most disrespectful guy in the entire house."

JoJo walked in to do the rose ceremony, and Chad was still up there chomping on lunch meat! What is going on here?! Remember that James T., Derek, and Wells have roses already. She gave the rest of her roses to:

3) Robby

4) Luke

5) Chase

6) Jordan

7) Grant

8) Ali

9) Daniel

10) James F.

11) Nick

12) Vinny

13) Evan

14) Chad

That meant that James the Superfan, Brandon the hipster, and Will were sent on their way. I hope we get to hear some of James' commentary later this season! I appreciate his enthusiasm for the franchise.
