ALAMEDA, Calif. (KGO) -- The Alameda-based U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Stratton has just returned to port after 114 days at sea and two massive cocaine seizures.

Sky7 HD was over Coast Guard Island in Alameda Wednesday morning as the ship docked.

Agents confiscated more than 22,000 pounds of cocaine in two separate busts over the past few months. It's estimated all of that cocaine is worth more than $1 billion.

"We had all the bails of cocaine on pallets out here on the flight deck," said Captain Nathan Moore. "We pretty much filled the flight deck. We had 37 different cases wrapped that were together and when they carted it off they filled up several truckloads to take that much product off the street."

The families and loved ones of the sailors gathered at the port to greet them on Wednesday morning.

Some of that $1 billion stash of cocaine was off-loaded earlier this month in San Diego.
