DANVILLE, Calif. (KGO) -- Danville police and the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District are investigating at fire at a home on Linda Mesa Avenue that has been determined to have been caused by arson.
Witnesses told police they saw a subject throw an object at the home and then left the scene at a high rate of speed.
When officers arrived at the scene, the home was fully engulfed and SRVFPD was working to bring the fire under control, officials say.
SRVFPD Battalion Chief Jim Selover said firefighters aggressively attacked the fire and had it contained within 30 minutes.
Officials say the damage to the home was estimated at $210,000.
It was said to be empty at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
No arrests have been made at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
