Oakland community steps in after thieves steal 1,000 diapers from charity

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- An Oakland community is rallying around a charity hit by thieves.



More than 1,000 donated diapers were stolen out of Anna Santo's car after she held a diaper drive.



After posting about the theft on Facebook friends and strangers alike stepped up, donating more than 8,000 new diapers.



Help A Mother Out is a nonprofit organization that helps distribute diapers to families in need.
