CONCORD -- BART service has been restored in both directions between Pleasant Hill and Pittsburg/Bay Point after earlier police activity. But BART trains on the Pittsburg/Bay Point line are still experiencing delays of up to 15 minutes.

Early Monday morning, police found a body on the tracks between Concord and the North Concord stations.

The report came in around 8:50 a.m. of blood and human remains on the tracks, BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost said.

BART was not allowing service in the area to keep it safe for emergency responders at the location of the body.

The transit agency had set up a bus bridge between Pleasant Hill and Pittsburg Bay Point for stranded riders.
