OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A standoff in East Oakland involving a man with a rifle and his two children ended peacefully Wednesday evening.
It started around 5:30 a.m. shutting down part of the neighborhood and resulted in evacuations in the area.
The man was holed up inside a house with his two children ages 6 and 8.
Police negotiated with him for hours and again, he peacefully surrendered just after 6 p.m..
